Ed-Est Collective Agreement

Other improvements to the EB collective agreement: We will provide the final text and full details of the EB Group`s preliminary agreement, as well as agreement on common issues as soon as it becomes available. Shortly thereafter, EB members are invited to participate in the online ratification votes. Voting details will be released as soon as possible. PSAC is committed to continuing to insist on improvements and to oppose the concessions of the EB collective agreement. The PSAC negotiating team unanimously recommends the ratification of the interim agreement. The salaries of ED-EST 12-month teachers differ from province to province, and the shift to a new national rate of pay has long been a problem. PSAC proposed a new national rate of pay for these teachers, and a joint committee of employer and union representatives had previously agreed to recommend a national wage rate that would serve as the basis for negotiation. If your bargaining unit has not entered into negotiations with your school jurisdiction, employers cannot change arbitrary pay or working conditions. The expired collective agreements will continue to be in place until a new agreement is ratified. If you are part of a bargaining unit that has ratified its 2018-2020 collective agreement, this new contract will appear below as soon as it has been prepared, read and fully signed by all parties. If not listed below, you can check out the ratified agreements here (see local negotiations in the negotiation updates). Negotiations for the 2018-2020 cycle of the 61 public, separate and French-language school courts are underway.

. The union is also disappointed that the government, by all means at its disposal, has refused to submit a PIC form in both official languages. You can download PSAC`s EB PIC submission in English and French and access the government`s English filing here. In addition to these wage increases, the following salary adjustments and group allowances have been ensured: PSAC aims to improve vacation benefits, particularly for family tasks, service breaches, education and career development. The union also proposed not to respond inconsistently to the demands of workers who tend to work. The union`s position is that these claims will help address the issue of work-life balance. Two updates to the Finance Ministry negotiations have recently been released for the SV Group and the EB Group. The SV Group was before the Public Interest Commission (PIC) from 22 to 24 January and PSAC received the ICP`s recommendations for the EB group.
